The Gateway Housing Rehabilitation Program (GHRP) addresses code violations and blighted conditions in residential properties in Gateway Cities and other similarly situated communities, as identified by the Executive Office of Housing and Livable Communities (EOHLC). Grant funds may be used for the rehabilitation of blighted 1-4 unit residential properties and buildings that are suitable for conversion to 1-4 unit residential use. Funding is offered to emerging developers, nonprofits and municipalities to create new affordable homebuyer opportunities or to assist small landlords and homeowners struggling with major property repairs.
